ISRAELI FOLK DANCE
Take our always popular De-Cal classes:
Need another unit? Interested in funky music and groovy people? Come and learn about Israeli culture through dance. Not only will students learn and dance Israeli folk dances, but students will also use anthropological tools to understand the significance of this dance form. It was created over 50 years ago as a means of preserving cultural heritage, and as an expression of community. This is a class for dancers of all levels. No experience necessary. Come and dance as a community to music from all over the world, including ancient melodies, Turkish music, and Latin rhythms.
Enrollment Instructions: The schedule for the Spring 2006 semester will be publicated shortly. We will distribute the CCN on the first day of class (which will be in the second week of the semester). The last chance to enroll will be during the third week of instruction: NO EXCEPTIONS.
